Watch Out World- Here They Come!

At the Bus Stop: Gage saying goodbye to Jed on his first day of First Grade

I have had these kids in my care for the majority of their day, since they were born. Jed decided to grow up and leave me- for 7 1/2 hours Mon.-Fri! How dare he?!

Now to be honest, there were times, depending on his age and stage, that I looked forward to this day, when things would quiet down and my load would feel a little...well, less. But let me go on record saying, this has been an adjustment. Sometimes it is nice, by the end of the summer the boys were really starting to get on each others nerves, and it was obvious that Jed was getting board and was ready for his new adventure. But I miss the kid! Gage misses his best friend, and Corinne is sad that Gage has so much extra time to tease her.

Anyway, we have tried to keep things interesting around here, and Gage really is pretty good at making his own fun:

He also started Pre-school the next week, which takes a bite out of a couple days of the week.

This is good.

A good change.

It just takes a little getting used to.

They both leave and come home with a smile on their face -although Jed is completely exhausted by the end of the day, it makes it easier to let them go knowing they are enjoying where they are at.
